Live Chat Demo 2
To start the demo, first you need to login as a chat operator
who would like to be available to chat with their customers. Then
you can start chatting with yourself to see exactly what your
users will see. After you login as Operator, refresh this page
to see Live Chat icon changes to "ONLINE". Don't forget
to turn on your speakers to listen the sounds events.

How to use the Demo.
Step 1 (login as operator):

The client icon is "
OFFLINE"
when the operator is not available for chat. You can leave
a message, the email will be sent to chatsupport@hostik.com.
Click here for an example
of a left message.

Click the link above to login as operator
with the username & password above.
- Click Traffic Monitor button at top-right corner. It
will open new window. Wait a couple minutes until it loads.
(If you
have problems opening the Traffic Monitor, make sure you've
disabled the pop-up killer or firewall software)
- You'll see your IP address in Traffic Monitor with the status
"In Site"
Step 2 (login as client):

Refresh this page, you'll notice the status
icon will change to "ONLINE" since you've
already logged in as admin in Traffic Monitor.

Click the "ONLINE" status icon
image above to start chatting as a client.
- Enter your name, click Send button.
- You'll see the message "Please wait while we connect
you to a live chat representative. You are currently in queue
position number 1."
Step 3 (start chat as operator):
- On the Traffic Monitor window, you'll hear the "ring"
sound event and the status changes to "Waiting For Chat"
when the client entered the Live Chat.
- Click the IP address who you want to chat with.
- The status changes from "Waiting for Chat"
--> "Awaiting Chat Pickup" --> "Chatting:
Rep1"
- In the Canned Reponses, select "1. Hello"
and click Select button
- The canned response "Hello %n%, how may I help you
today?" displays in chat box, click Send Message
button to send a message to client. (%n% is a command for
visitor's name)
Step 4 (start chat as client):
- On the Client window, you'll hear a "ding"
sound event (a new message from Operator in Step 3 #5) and receive
a new message from Operator
- Now you can start chatting with yourself as operator &
client.
The Operator can chat with more than one visitor at the same
time by clicking the visitor's IP Address to switch to
that visitor's chat.
The visitor can also print the transcript by clicking the Printer
icon.
